Join the R.A.D.D. (Residents of the Arts District & Downtown) for their weekly Wednesday bike ride and walk around the Arts District!
The Arts District Neighborhood Watch Walk was launched 10 years ago this year by community advocate Joel Bloom (the namesake of BloomfestLA (http://www.bloomfestla.com/)) who passed away in 2007. Scot Ezzell has kept the weekly walk alive since then (he has participated in the walk since 2005). The Arts District neighborhood walk is the longest continuous running of its kind in the city of Los Angeles. It is now even more important to the community since the Arts District BID was dissolved recently. That's also why Melissa Richardson Banks instituted the R.A.D.D. Bike Ride ... "not only do I love bikes, but it is a way to positively connect neighbors with each other while keeping an eye out for the area. Eventually, we will do rides throughout DTLA ... that's why I named it Residents of Arts District and Downtown (R.A.D.D.)."
