Switching gears and the opinion expressed herein does not reference this specific picture... it just got me thinking in general...

I think the term "rescued" is over used. To me, the act of rescuing a dog is the person who voluntarily uses their own time and money (sometimes donations) to take an animal out of a bad situation, care for it, and find a good, lifelong home. That's RESCUE. Those of us that get our pets from said rescuers ADOPT a pet.

I wish more emphasis was put on the difference between these two words and the common use of them.

Thanks Cheri for all you (and others like you) do for animals in need.
