This is an open conversation with our long time friend Elfneh Bariso the founder and unpaid director of AHEAD - Action for Health Education and Development, which is based in Ethiopia and the UK. It will be a a catch up on his recent trip to Ethiopia and the plans for his next one, the impact of current events on the people and projects he works with, and an exploration of how we can help to raise the visibility of his work.
This isn't a "formal event". It's a small round-the-table conversation.
I usually arrange some kind of open conversation each month. It's a way to share what is going on.
The announcements also serve as a kind of notice board, and are part of our strategy for working in a transparent way.
Please register in advance if possible
Although people often turn up for these conversations without registering, it's better if you do register in advance. It gives a better record of people involved for future reference and, most importantly, makes sure no-one is refused entry at the reception desk.
We'll probably be near the DIY kitchen, or by the hosts desk (ask the hosts).
