Dakota Adventurers Pages

The Adventurers meetup mission is to gather outdoor enthusiasts together to:

  • Create hiking, backpacking, cycling, kayaking and other outdoor adventures.
  • Learn tips, tricks and techniques for safe and comfortable outdoor activities.
  • Expand our list of friends for outdoor adventures.
  • Learn more about our wonderful state.
Who Should Join:
We welcome outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities and experience levels. We encourage you to challenge yourself to be more fit and aggressive in the outdoors.

Terrain and conditions can vary significantly on a hike, bike ride or paddle adventure. If we were to make a generalization on speed for hiking activities, it might be that we hike about 2 - 3 (or a few of us 3 - 4) miles per hour.

Departure Time:
We depart no later than 10 minutes after the posted event time. Exchanging phone numbers with the event organizer will increase the chances of having a smooth running event.

We encourage carpooling.. Talk out your plans with your car pool host so you can be returned to your vehicle at the time you desire.

The fees for this meetup site are covered by the organizer. You do not need to use the Chip In button.

We don't have anyone who is wilderness-certified and most of us don't know basic first aid or have map skills that we can depend on. We are just a group of outdoor enthusiasts who choose to meet-up. We are here to enjoy and help one another, but. in the end, you are responsible for yourself.

How to Schedule a Meetup
We encourage you to post events. Please contact us if the questions on the following.
  • Under Group Tools go to Schedule a Meetup.
  • Clearly and concisely fill out the form, then click on Schedule This Meetup Now.
  • Another window will present itself; click on Announce Now.
  • Members will be able to RSVP. You will be able to message on the events page with those who have RSVPed.
  • You can privately email members to exchange phone numbers or other personal information.
  • It’s helpful to create a Google map to show your meeting location.
  • Encourage people to check the website for changes or cancellation before leaving home.
  • The more information you can give on your ride (distance, speed, break times, maps) will help members decide if the event will match their state of fitness.
  • Do not use the format of this website to charge participants a fee when you create an event.
Everyone is welcome to be an active part of the Dakota Adventurers' meetup. We expect that you will use your finest skills of courtesy when communicating with all members.
