On Monday 10/27 Jeff Sutherland, via WebEx (available at the meeting only), will discuss his just released book, SCRUM: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time. RSVPs are required and limited due to space constraints.
We live in a world that is broken. For those who believe that there must be a more efficient way for people to get things done, here from Scrum pioneer Jeff Sutherland is a brilliantly discursive, thought-provoking book about the management process that is changing the way we live. Each element of the framework is there for a reason, and Jeff realized that many people blindly follow the rules of Scrum (or some of them anyway) without knowing their purpose. Come discuss the true purpose of scrum with Jeff on October 27th via WebEx and learn new angles and tidbits for even the most die-hard Scrum loyalist. If you wish to get copy a book before the event in order to enhance this interactive discussion, you can do so here: http://www.scruminc.com/new-scrum-the-book/ . We look forward to seeing you there!
JEFF SUTHERLAND is currently the CEO of Scrum, Inc., and senior adviser to OpenView Venture Partners, where he coaches venture-funded companies. These days he constantly travels the world speaking about Scrum. The book's uncredited co-author is J.J. Sutherland, chief content officer at Scrum Inc. Educated at Harvard and Carnegie Mellon, JJ was formerly senior producer at NPR where his work covering 9/11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, natural disasters, and the Arab Spring won multiple Peabody and DuPont Awards, as well as the Overseas Press Club's Lowell Thomas Award and the Edward R. Murrow Award.
