Join us for formal and informal classes for non-native speakers of American English, led by a very experienced trainer. Identify your strengths and opportunities for growth. You'll leave each class with new knowledge and skills that you can use in your daily life to be understood more easily and to work towards the same level of fluency you have in your native language.

16-Hour Intensive American English Pronunciation Group Course

WHAT IT’S ABOUT If you’ve been waiting for your pronunciation skills to catch up with your language skills, wait no longer! We’ll help fill in the gaps in your understanding of American English and your production abilities. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been in the US for 2 years or 20- the concepts and skills you learn will help you increase your confidence and fluency. This course will focus on the most commonly mispronounced vowels, diphthongs, and consonants of American English. We will also delve into the stress patterns, rhythm and melody of American English. Structured group courses are intensive and fast-paced, so be prepared to practice in between each session. WHAT’S INCLUDED The fee for the 16-hour course ($600) includes all costs including an initial screening, 16 hours of small-group training, a 263-page book of practice materials/pronunciation tips, audio files for each practice activity, and access to Englission.com (our e-learning site) during your training course. SCHEDULE The course begins on Thursday, October 17th, at 6:30pm and meets once per week through Thursday, December 19th. We will not meet the week of Thanksgiving. We'll work on pronunciation, grammar, and phrasing, focusing on what members need. This means that we will listen to the students who come to class and work on real-time problems. Voices of the World was founded in Austin, Texas in 2010. Dominique, one of our lead trainers, is now expanding our reach into the Dallas area.
