Philosophy Pub: Beer, Beliefs, and Being

The Ginger Man

This is a co-created philosophy-in-action group. We have open discussions about things that matter to us and affect our daily lives. This month long-time member Victor Dricks will host as Gretchen will be in Thailand. He will present a brief opening framework and facilitate the meeting. Everyone is encouraged to participate. The purpose is to discuss philosophical ideas, often things that we struggle with in our day-to-day lives. While we encourage everyone to openly share ideas, this is not a group for divisive political debates or a place to air personal challenges better handled in therapy. The topic for each session is identified at the previous meeting. If you attend regularly, you will have a voice in what we talk about! About Ginger Man Ginger Man serves a full menu, soft drinks, wine, and of course beer. Important to Know Everyone is welcome, but we do request that you come from a place of openness and respect. We are here to explore ideas, worldviews, and philosophies. This is not a place to beat each other up over politics and policy. There is no place for judgment or rhetoric. We recognize the inherent worth and dignity of every person regardless of race, ethnicity, religious preference, political ideology, national origin, residency status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, or ability. If this does not work for you, this is not the group for you.
