    It's time for a photowalk at the Dallas Arboretum!!! Gary Lee Price “Celebrate the Children” Summer Exhibit It's the return of acclaimed sculptor Gary Lee Price and his newest exhibit, “Celebrate the Children,” which features beautiful, hand-crafted bronze sculptures of children placed throughout the gardens and create the perfect photo opportunity for guests. Thousands of Price’s sculptures are on display in public and private collections throughout the world. The new exhibit features over 25 different bronze sculptures, many of which are his own children. The 5-foot sculpture, “Celebration,” features joyous children celebrating life and soaring around the globe. The sculptures encourage guests to revisit childhood memories such as, “Circle of Peace” playing Ring-Around the Rosie, or the “Cartwheel Kids” in the Shadow Garden. Each piece of artwork ranges from 2 to 7.5 feet tall with one sculpture weighing more than 1,300 lbs. Price has been creating bronze sculptures for more than 35 years. The summer exhibit is on display for six months, and we are excited to welcome Price and his children back into the garden. Bring your camera, tripod, maybe a flash. A diffusing scrim might come in handy as well lets go shoot some flowers. There's always lots of color and we'll have a great time. We'll meet at 1:00 PM inside the front gate.     It's time for a photowalk at the Dallas Arboretum!!! Dallas Blooms is celebrating 34 years!! And runs from February 23rd thru April 7, 2019. The Dallas Arboretum is happy to present the theme “Life’s A Picnic” Dallas Blooms is one of the largest floral festivals in the Southwest, with over a 100 varieties of spring-blooming bulbs exploding with color and 500,000 tulips, plus hundreds of thousands of other spring flowers that will dazzle you. This year’s festival features an extraordinary, larger-than-life, picnic scene topiary comprised of a stunning 40’x40’ picnic blanket, a vase of flowers, a picnic basket with pie and a giant picnic ant. Join us at the Dallas Blooms features tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris and hyacinths, pansies, violas, poppies and thousands of other spring-blooming annuals and perennials. The finale of this spring celebration is the mass flowering of the garden’s collection of 3,000 azaleas that bloom during the end of April. And the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden (http://www.dallasarboretum.org/children/rory-meyers-children-s-adventure-garden) is awesome!!!!     See some of the most popular antique and classic muscle cars throughout the decades on Saturday, October 27th from 10am-2pm. Various cars will be on site throughout The Star District, along with a "Trunk or Treat" for the kids! Costumes are encouraged. A live DJ and photo and autograph opportunities with Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (11am-1pm) will be available on Tostitos Championship Plaza. Admission and parking are free!

Other major stops include the Lost Boys hideout where Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys talk about never growing up. A pirate ship sails the seas of gourds and pumpkins in Pecan Grove where Captain Hook keeps his eye to the sky as his never-ending hunt for Peter continues. Tick-Tock, the Crocodile, waits patiently among the pumpkins for another opportunity to attack. A visit to Neverland would not be complete without a stop by Tinker Bell’s home where she does all of her tinkering.     The Greatest Car Show Deep Ellum has ever had is back again for it's 11th year. So prepare yourselves for a full day incredible Pre 1964 Hot Rods and Customs, bands, and great Friends. There's always a few pinup models running around also. This is a great opportunity to get some great pictures of pre 1964 Hot Rods and custom Cars. It's also a great time to work on your HDR. For those interested we can meet at Café Brazil at 9:00 AM have some breakfast and head out to photograph the show. It'll be hot so wear appropriate clothing and bring water.     I’m going to the Fort Worth Zoo to practice and get some great shots of the animals. Join me as I walk around looking for photographic opportunities. The finale of this spring celebration is the mass flowering of the garden’s collection of 3,000 azaleas that bloom during the end of April.
