A multiply-requested location that we tried to visit in January but they were having start-up issues after recovering from some fire damage.
They're fully back and I've already called to pre-reserve us space.
This is the local Hare Krishna temple, which means they have the usual strictly vegetarian Hare Krishna style of Indian-originated food. For fans of baked goods, many of my friends like to make sure and purchase loaves of the cinnamon-raisin bread to take home with them.
I have not been in since the rebuild, but previously the inside was on the darker side with quite a bit of vegetation, oddly shaped rooms and smaller tables that they'll be rearranging to satisfy.
It's definitely an interesting experience.
Please get those RSVPs in so I can update them with the correct number of us that will be visiting Tuesday.
Also, I believe this place only offers buffet service, no menu-based ordering. For prices: salad bar-only is $10 and full buffet is $13. The web site for the restaurant is here: http:// (http://www.kalachandjis.com/) http://www.kalachandjis.com/
