How/when did you become an atheist? [or agnostic, non-theist, freethinker, humanist, pagan, or whatever label you choose for yourself]

I have always known I wasn't a believer. I was raised Catholic. It all seemed made up to me. I only began to voice my disbelief in my mid-20's. My family was horrified, as were my in-laws.

Introduction

I feel I have to hide my non-belief. I'm tired of being looked down on by "believers". Why should I have to believe in their superstition to be a good person?
