A "Best 100" list - Fodder for the next round of book choices

Back in August, NPR posted a list of the top 100 Science Fiction/Fantasy books as selected by a poll of 60,000 listeners.

Some of the choices are actually series rather than individual books. If 100 isn't enough for you, they link to a list of the 237 finalists.

Interesting list. We seem to have picked quite a few of the NPR top 100 list. This suggests the tastes of our group and the whoever chose the list are similar. There some I have read that I wouldn't want to read again like "The Handmaids Tale" or "1984", but most literary people would say those aren't SF anyway. Of course, they're wrong. I did a quick scan of the SF side and was surprised in that I have read something like 37 out of 50 of their picks, although some of them I read in school!
This may be useful at the next round of choices.
