UX practitioners know good research informs good designs, products, and services, but a lot of companies don't recognize that research can inform the product life cycle. Rather than blaming these companies, user researchers can do a better job showcasing the value.
In this talk, Gavin Fung, a Senior UX Researcher at Sabre, will share how he uses user research to guide product strategy and influence people.
Gavin Fung is a Senior UX Researcher at Sabre where he utilize generative and evaluative research methods to guide product development and create products and services that people would actually want to use. He has experience implementing UX research practices ranging from startups to global enterprises. His passion for UX stems from his time as an academic researcher exploring how children learn using technology at University of California, Santa Cruz and Stanford University. Outside of combing over data, he enjoys playing badminton, video games and traveling around the world eating the best food.
