Long Games (formerly Arkham Horror)

*** Note Time Change ***

A session for playing long games that are hard to fit in at Fuddruckers. In the past we've often played Arkham Horror, and I'll always make sure that game is available. But this session is open to any long game that people want to play.

Is there any thoughts on doing this more than once a month...right now I am a slave to my wife's work schedule (babysitting). I hate waiting another month for this opportunity to come around again. Just my random thoughts.

Hey Jeff, if you go to this group's home page, right under the line "Welcome, Dallas Area Boardgamers! " there's a link that you can use to schedule a meet up. Feel free to use that to schedule as many meet ups as you would like. Note that until at least three people have signed up, the meet ups you schedule will only show up under the Suggested tab.

Thanks Greg, I'll consider that option.

If we play more than one game, I want to play Primordial Soup. I am also bringing Dark Horse, Star Trek Catan, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Genesis, and Nefarious (filler for 2 to 6).

The new time is great! It will be much easier to find a table at 10 AM!
I have played Zombicide and it was okay, but not near as much fun as Last Night on Earth, Betrayal at House on the Hill, or Mansions of Madness. Last Night and Betrayal have a lot to them and cost a lot less. The game play is too simple in Zombicide. I like exploring new rooms in Betrayal at House on the Hill. It has 50 different scenarios to play. In Last Night on Earth you have different weapons, events, and scenarios.

I agree the 10am time is a much preferred time - but I would like to see more meet-ups more often...I would game every night if I could. :)

Just wondering, has anyone here played Zombicide yet? I just wanted to hear some opinions before forking over $95 on a game.

I haven't, but you might want to check out boardgamegeek.com to see what they say, if you haven't done so already.

For anybody interested in Dungeon Lords, you can find the rules on-line at http://czechgames.com/en/dungeon-lords/downloads/

Of course, I'll go over them before we play.
