What we're about
The Dallas Pen Club was founded over 25 years ago. This Meetup group is a recent effort by the club to spread the word about the club (and show) to other pen collectors and aficionados in the DFW area.
Our club meetings typically have between 30-50 people in attendance. Our Saturday informal pen breakfasts often have 10-15 people.
Club events include:
An annual pen show in September (Sept. 26 & 27, 2014) where writing instruments may be displayed, traded, bought or sold by collectors or dealers.
Formal club meetings at 7PM on the first Wednesday of the months of February, April, June, August, and December.
An informal pen breakfast at 9AM on the first Saturday for the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November.
We encourage members to bring their pens to meetings for identification, show & tell, and buying and selling.
As a club we encourage the use and appreciation of fountain pens, other writing instruments and related ephemera. We also inform members and the public on the history, manufacture, use, repair or sales of fountain pens or other writing instruments.
Joining the Meetup.com group is free. And we welcome new pen aficionados to come to a meeting and meet members face to face.
If you decide you would like to join the Dallas Pen Club as a member (which enables you to attend every meeting), dues are only $15 annually.
Full information about membership can be found on our website: DallasPenClub.com (http://www.dallaspenshow.com/how-to-join.htm)
