Many herbs grow in our area gardens that help to keep us healthy and out of a doctor's office. For the most part, these herbs are perennials so they are easily cultivated after they are established. Plus herbs are usually quite hardy--even in our erratic Texas weather--so they perform very well here.

Herbal medicines have been around since prehistoric times and a growing body of scientific research shows they can be highly effective for certain diseases and conditions. Moreover, as research in this area increases, the optimum doses for herbal medicines are known to ever greater accuracy.

Holly Ross, owner of Hollyberry Farm in Canton, will give us a presentation on Medicinal Herbs, after which she will answer your questions about them. It does take a knowledgeable person like Holly to guide us in the use of herbs. We are fortunate to have such informed and dedicated Master Gardeners like her in this area.

Hollyberry Farm produces herbs, vegetable seedlings, and seasonal produce. They are grown organically and are never GMO.
