Meetup Cancelled: "Craft of Spinning & Weaving" but come anyway & lets chat about Sustainable Living

From: Terry J.
Sent on: Friday, May 31, 2013 3:30 PM

I am sorry to email that "Craft of Spinning & Weaving" a Free Demonstration scheduled to occur on Saturday, June 1,[masked]:30 AM has been cancelled. Ms Riley's brother had open-heart surgery.

Instead, tomorrow (June 1) there will be a group of us sitting around just sharing experiences about homesteading, emergency preparedness, Permaculture, ecocillages, and the like by the picnic tables. Feel free to join us at 9:30.  The Farmer's Market is still happening from 8 am -11 am and starting at 9:30 am Please update your plans accordingly.

While you are reading this: As you probably know we have events every Saturday morning at the Greenville Farmer's Market--either classes or demos or both. If you have a skill you can share--organic gardening, homesteading, emergency preparedness, natural building--anything having to do with sustainable living and would be willing to share that skill or knowledge, please contact me at[masked].

Next Saturday we will have a talk and Q&A about building with Compressed Earth Blocks. Our North Central Texas clay is very well suited for this and it is an expensive way to build a home--including some very possible DIY. 9:30, Sep 8, at Greenville Farmer's Market, 2400 Lee St at Bois D' Arc, Greenville, TX. It is free. On Sep 23, Sunday, in Dallas, this same CEB person is doing a 6 hour class--details to follow but it is $30 per person.

If you have further questions, you can also email me through Meetup.
