If someone finds an abandoned property, this would make a good meetup group. I don't have one locally, but i've been studying how to find them for years - so i made an ebook

The law says abandoned real estate is free real estate, so its only common sense. Waste not, want not, right? Anyway, that link is to an ebook primer I made, based on my experiences. If enough of you think its worthwhile, and someone finds a workable location to claim, we could have a meetup at or near that property.

sounds like theft to me. and all the taxes would have to be brought current. so why not just look for tax sales and get it legally?
