We are a weekly Tai Chi and Falun Gong* group that offers free lessons every Saturday morning in Lantern Bay Park overlooking the gorgeous Dana Point Harbor. Falun Gong (5 sets of simple gentle movement meditation) can be learned with immediate benefits in one session, and will be from 8:00 am-9:00 am. The Tai Chi class (a slow, soft continuous movement meditation) will last about 60 minutes to practice the complete 24 Yang style Tai Chi forms and will be from 9am - 10am. Tai Chi is a very powerful holistic way to heal body, mind, and soul that is practiced by millions of people around the world. Through relaxed breathing, gentle physical movements, and mindfulness, you will feel more relaxed, and become re-energized. As you practice Tai Chi and/or Falun Gong, you will open all the meridian channels to facilitate the flow of vital healing energy to every cell in your body. This will give you optimal health benefits like increased energy, concentration, patience, stress release, and improved memory. Participants 10 years and older that practice with an open mind, patience, and commitment will achieve these benefits.
Wear comfortable, light-weight clothing, and workout shoes. Once you join the Meetup, please be sure to make a biannual $10 donation to support the operating cost of our Meetup group and keep us going. The organizing costs of the Meetup are affected by the number of members, so we greatly appreciate and need each member's small contribution. If you decide to leave the group, we request that you do so on the site so that we don't need to pay for members who no longer attend.
Our instructor is Dr. Jane who has been practicing Tai Chi for over 15 years. Currently she is a retired university professor who practices spiritual enlightenment and ancient Chinese healing remedies. She enjoys being God's compassionate servant in ways such as teaching this healing form of meditation as a gift to reduce suffering.
