Monday night training at Danzan Ryu NYC tends to focus on techniques, and may include some light randori (free-fighting work). Please check the FAQ if you have any questions. If there isn't an answer there, shoot me an email, and I'll respond as soon as possible.
Class is free if it's your first time. You can start training in sweats and a T-shirt or bring your own gi. We also ask that your fingernails and toenail be clipped short to avoid injury. Please fill out this form (just name, address, contact information, and sign date it) and bring it with you. Do not worry about paying the fee. You'll do that if you continue training with us. It's just that the form is also the liability waiver.
Dojo visitors from other training groups (Judo, BJJ, DZR) may pay the one time mat fee to train.
Approximate breakdown of class:
7:00: setup and change
7:15: Begin stretching and ukemi work
7:35: Begin technique work
8:45: Either randori/sparing or continue technique work
9:30: Class ends, put away mats, change.
