What Eddie H. is saying about this Meetup Group

The rsvp cap was set at 375 (way too high for this venue - Trulia). More like 250 (max) can fit here (combo of standing/sitting). If there is a presentation with slides, I'd say the max number of people that can view the slides are 150-175 (the layout makes it hard to see the slides from the back/opposite corner of the space. There is space for about 105-120 to sit down and the rest have to stand up (which is fine but again, many of the people standing had obstructed views). In terms of rsvp'ing, I might suggest penalizing people who rsvp'd in the past + did not show up OR charging $1-$3 to reduce the number of people who bail out altogether. Idea here is that you get people who actually want to come and not those who rsvp as a back up plan. If the meetup is of good/great quality, then the turnout volume will not suffer with the nominal fee.
