Shachar Meir: SQL Masterclass – Learning to think in Transformations
Summary: SQL is undoubtedly one of the most common languages out there.
We all use it all the time regardless of the role we assume (DBA, Data Scientist, Analyst, Developer), but have we really made the leap and learned to THINK in SQL..?
Many people tend to focus on the syntax when learning SQL, but SQL is much more than that, and it is very common to see people crunch the data a little bit, export it, and keep transforming it outside the database in R / Python / Java / SAS / …, oftentimes only because they are unsure how to do it in SQL.
In this workshop you will learn the some secrets and most advanced topics they don’t teach at schools, you will see some sophisticated data algorithms that can save you tons of time and effort, and will add a few more tools to your toolbox.
The workshop will be interactive! No presentations, not too much of unnecessary talking, just a live demo that would be able to follow through on your computers! (no installations required)
The only prerequisite is basic knowledge of SQL.
