Join DataKind DC at its monthly DataJam!
DataKind DC is looking to expand its impact with a monthly work night for engineers, designers, data scientists, nonprofit partners and anyone who is excited about doing good with data to collaborate.
What’s a DataJam?
A DataJam is a (DataKind trademarked) gathering for do-gooders doing cool stuff with data. DataKind DC’s monthly DataJam will be a time for volunteers to start or continue work on a variety of social good projects.
DataKind DC has a number of new and ongoing projects you will be able to contribute to - or you can bring your own project! To get an idea of the projects we will be starting and continuing, check out projects with a status of “Active”, “Lead”, and “Scoping” on datakinddc.org.

You do! Anyone with an interest in using data for good is welcome! And if you’re on this page that’s you :)
DataKind chapter leaders and core volunteers will also be in attendance.
We need your help!
DataKind believes the data science and machine learning methodologies driving innovation in the private sector can be used to advance the social good. But we need your help! We need help cleaning, analyzing, visualizing and modelling data to serve a spectrum of social missions such as reducing air inequality, expanding democracy, improving outcomes for youth in transition, and increasing access to services for homeless in DC.
