Summer of Maps
Sarah Cordivano (Program Organizer) and Kevin Frech (2015 Fellow) will discuss the accomplishments of the 2015 Summer of Maps Program. The program is a three-month long fellowship facilitated by Azavea which gives student data analysts the opportunity to perform spatial data analysis for local and national nonprofit organizations. Fellows receive a generous stipend while expanding their skills in a professional environment, nonprofits get pro bono analysis work that supports their mission. Fellows use highly advanced data science and visualization skills to analyze data and processes of our nonprofit partners.
