Title: Fighting Digital Payments Fraud with Deep Learning

About Jewel Paymentech:
Jewel Paymentech, one of the companies under IMDA's Acceditation@SGD program, is a financial risk technology company founded in 2014 with a mission to develop intelligent risk solutions for the banking and electronic payments industry. Our suite of intelligent solutions help banks and payment facilitators conduct merchant due diligence and manage transaction fraud risks using predictive analytics. We also offer automated solutions to large merchants such as marketplaces, to identify illegal and counterfeit goods as part of their KYC process. We have also been named by SWIFT as one of the most promising FinTech companies in Asia.

Synopsis:
With the rise of the internet and e-commerce stores, payment fraud has become a problematic area that is only expected to increase. In North America alone in 2017 Boston Consulting Group found that credit card fraud had cost 3 billion dollars. However, as the scale of the problem increases the amount of payment fraud data accumulates and deep learning solutions become viable, offering an additional defense channel.
