Three Case Studies in Health Care Data Analytics
The Hilltop Institute is a nonpartisan research organization at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people and communities. We conduct cutting-edge data analytics and translational research on behalf of government agencies, foundations, and nonprofit organizations to inform public policy at the national, state, and local levels.
This talk will present three examples of Hilltop’s work with health care data. The first is a test case for constrained financial optimization using individual budgets for home- and community-based services. The second is a simulation exercise to identify the person-level effect of a significant policy change. Finally, I will review Hilltop’s Pre-AH™ risk stratification model, and its predictive power for the Maryland Primary Care Program.
