Day Trips from London was founded in 2013 and organises some of the best reviewed trips from the capital. Our group has over 9,000 members and is organised by Martyn Lloyd and Terry Lloyd. We have spent the last 10 years exploring more than a thousand locations in England and Wales to find what we strongly feel are the highlight destinations.

We organise day trips from London to some of the most historic and beautiful places in the UK. The destinations we have visited so far include: Alfriston, Avebury, Bath, Birmingham Christmas Market, Blenheim Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Broadstairs Viking Bay, Caerphilly, Cambridge, Canterbury, Cardiff, Christchurch, Chepstow, Corfe Castle, Cotswolds, Durdle Door, Ely, Lulworth Cove, Margate, Mudeford Quay, Newmarket Race Course, Oxford, Poole, Portsmouth, Rye, Rochester, Salisbury, Sandbanks, Seven Sisters, Stratford upon Avon, Tintern Abbey, Weymouth, White Cliffs of Dover, Whitstable and Winchester.

We have also organised weekend coach trips to locations including: Chester, Lake District, Liverpool, Northern Wales, Peak District, Western Wales and York.

The vast majority of our trips involve booking executive, air conditioned, 53 seater coaches just for our Meetup group members. We also organise shorter trips via train and have organised boat trips. Our day trips from London also regularly include guided tours and visits to famous attractions as part of the package.

The social part of the day trips is just as important, so we also arrange optional after-trip-drinks when we return to London in the late evening. This gives everyone the chance to continue socialising, discuss their day trip experience and continue making friends over a few drinks.

It's also about having fun. On our day trips you'll be part of a club where everyone is there to socialise in addition to sight-seeing. The majority of members attend by themselves and we always ensure no-one is left out - so don't worry about being nervous or shy.

This Meetup group is available to everyone aged 18 and over. We have a very wide-range group of attendees - from 20's to 60+ which has been a key to our success as a Meetup group.
