Dayton Hikers - Dayton Outdoors

Dayton Hikers is the largest and most active outdoor recreation group in the Dayton area.

Dayton, The Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest, is blessed with an abundance of outdoor recreation minded people. The mission of the Dayton Hikers is to bring together people who enjoy hiking and make Dayton a better place to live. You are welcome to join whether you are a beginner or an experienced outdoors person.

The Dayton area has hundreds of miles of hiking trails. With our Five Rivers MetroPark system, State parks and community parks, there are many nearby opportunities for day hikes. A hiker can easily find an enjoyable hike whether it is a shorter, easy hike or a longer, more challenging hike.

Are you interested in organizing day hikes or backpacking trips? Please inquire about being an Event Host We would love to have you lead some trips.

The Dayton Hikers group supports and promotes the Five Rivers MetroParks. Visit one of the many local MetroParks to see what it has to offer. Attend one of the Outdoor Connections many events and workshops. To learn more about Five Rivers MetroParks visit
