HIKE 2 OF 3: 10 Mile Speed Hike 3.3 mph - HILLS!! NO breaks....3.5 hours

This is hike # 2 of 3 of the 40 mile fitness challenge!  If you did not complete hike #1 yesterday, you can still join us today!!

Today, we will be hiking my favorite "Hill Route" in Twin Creek MetroPark.  We will start at the High View Picnic shelter and warm up with a nice mile or two of down hill and flat ground before the hills start.  Then we will zig zag our way around the trail system making sure we hit each hill at least once, going up and down!

Our route will include orange, red, orange, yellow, orange, pink, green, purple, orange, green, yellow, orange, blue, and orange, in that order, LOL!  Don't try to figure it out, just join us for a GREAT hike.  We will hike exactly 10 miles today and we will try to finish it in 3 hours!  that is 3.3 mph pace.  It will be 3.5 hours at the latest, finishing up by 12:30.  I am sure I could be pursuaded to go someplace for lunch after- up to the group!

This will be a fast-paced, SPEED hike, with no breaks.  That means that we will start hiking at ta decent pace and pick up that pace as the day goes on.  We will push up every hill change up the pace a bit on the rest - speeding up and slowing down to maintain an average of as close to 3.3 mph as possible...... Yes, there is a method to my madness.  Bring headphones if that helps you stay in rythym.... and that way, you wont be able to hear my sing or your legs scream as we climb those hills today!

This is all to prepare for the TVT Hiking Challenge on June 14th!  If you hiked yesterday and today with us, you will have completed all of the TVT trail except for the paved road and bike trail sections......

One more hike tomorrow!
