We will cover topics such as backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, stoves, food, clothes, footwear, weather, terrain, comfort zone, trip planning, and Leave No Trace Principles. Instructor: Andy Niekamp
Andy "Captain Blue" Niekamp, the Chief Adventurer Officer of Outdoor Adventure Connection, has been leading adventure trips for decades, and has more than 25 years of back-country experience. He currently hikes more than a thousand miles a year. Andy has over 14,000 mile of backpacking experience including four end to end hikes of the Appalachian Trail and thru hikes of the Colorado Trail, Ohio's Buckeye Trail, Kentucky's Sheltowee Trace, Vermont's Long Trail, Superior Hiking Trail, Bartram Trail and the Ohio To Erie Trail. Learn from the experts! Andy is also the founder and group organizer of the Dayton Hikers group.
