Jennifer 8. Lee eloquently explained in her Ted Talk regarding our relationship with food, “what you want to cook and eat is an accumulation, a function of your experiences-the people you’ve dated, what you’ve learned, where you’ve gone. There may be inbound elements from other cultures, but you’ll always eat things that mean something to you.” Likewise, this meetup will give us the opportunity to branch out from our usual social experiences, cross cultures, try and perhaps fail new recipes, laugh, drink wine, make new friends and hopefully, improve our cooking skills while utilizing the cookbooks we’ve either been hoarding or desiring. Every six weeks we’ll come together to collaboratively entertain and enjoy a potluck meal based solely upon recipes chosen from a designated cookbook (or perhaps a food blog). Members will rotate hosting duties and we’ll be sure to make note of any dietary restrictions so that you can rest assured there will always be dishes in which you may partake. Join us!
