Want to get hands on with honey bees? Well now's your chance! Dr. Jennifer Leavey of the Urban Honey Bee Project at Georgia Tech will host a special intro to bee keeping class and hive inspection just for our members. You may remember Dr. Leavey from the talk she gave at the space last year. This time around, she will give a brief introduction to bee keeping followed by a visit to some the hives on Tech's campus.

This event is family friendly, however, children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear full coverage shoes (tennis shoes or boots), loose fitting light colored pants like khaki pants or loose jeans, and long sleeved, loose fitting shirts (like a button down shirt).

We will meet in room 580 of the CULC building. For information about location and parking, see http://bees.gatech.edu/directions.
