For kids aged 8-10 years old, this week-long coding workshop will teach kids how to make digital works of art with Scratch, an easy-to-use programming tool developed by MIT!
This workshop runs for 5 days, June 17-21 from 9am - noon. Over the course of this week, the kids will use Google's CS First program to learn how to use Scratch and the basics of Computer Science, all while creating fun, interactive art. This workshop will introduce the basics of coding logic through block-based drag-n-drop programming. Students will get to be creative, while building problem-solving, logic, and communication skills. No previous coding experience is necessary.
Age: 8-10 year olds
This week-long workshop will be taught by Connor Dooley, a 4th year Computer Science major studying at the University of Georgia. Connor has a strong interest in web and game design, and looks for ways that programming enables us to create new and exciting kinds of art.
