Let's make something with metal!

Students (age 12-19) will learn the basics of cutting, welding, its application, and safety. We will cover cutting, grinding, and basic info on types of welding and welding machines. Bring your project (Mild steel only - no large projects - check with instructor to see if it is acceptable) or use scrap and parts on hand to make art work, gift or small home project. Think office organizer, jewelry holder, candle holder. Bring your imagination.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ ALL OF DESCRIPTION! Student must wear natural fiber clothes (100% cotton, leather, hemp, bamboo, linen, etc) and shoes. Closed toed leather or canvas shoes (no mesh, rubber soles okay). Covered arms and legs (long sleeves and long pants) are a must.
If you have your own safety equipment you can bring it. Bring reading glasses if needed (must see up close).

NOTE: This class may be rescheduled due to weather. Insurance restrictions require us to weld outside and electricity and water don't mix. Strong wind or severe cold/heat may also require rescheduling. Please check back prior to class. Message Bria if you have any questions.
