- Open Build Night
We are now hosting open build nights on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 7 PM. These nights are open to members and non-members so if you're interested in checking out the space, come on by. Bring a project you'd like to work on, meet others who have the same passion or can help out, and/or work on one of our Decatur Maker projects du jour. This is for makers of all ages, skill sets, and interests. Stop by, stay hi, and stay for the making.
- Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts (ALE) meeting
ALE has been promoting Linux and Open Source Software Freedom in Atlanta Since 1994. The group is now meeting at Decatur Makers on the third Tuesday of the month. See www.ale.org for specifics on the meeting topic. Although there is parking available in the church parking lot at the makerspace, we suggest you consider parking across the street or around the corner in the neighborhood to avoid conflicting with a pre-existing weekly Tuesday night church event.
- PRIVATE EVENT: Making with youth from Decatur First United Methodist Church.
This is a private event for a group of kids from the Decatur First United Methodist Church who will be getting hands-on designing and building robots from upcycled/recycled materials as well as playing with our Circuit Blocks to make motors move and lights glow.
- Monthly Clean Up the Space!
We'll be gathering for a meetup every 3rd Sunday of the month to tidy-up and re-organize the space. There will be pizza and maybe something sweet; It's a casual maker party with a little bit of work to-do. The more hands the merrier. Please join us whenever you can stop by! All makers, tall and small, are welcome.
