Deep Breathing Brisk Walking meet up group aim to promote deep breathing brisk walking as a healthy exercise for both young and old. DBB walking combine the techniques of deep breathing with brisk walking. Deep breathing practises using our diaphragm instead of our chest to breathe. Brisk walking technique focus on the proper posture and forms to minimise injury. DBB walking is a low impact exercise, suitable for long duration like 5 km to 10 km. It is a good form of exercise for relaxation, to help you maintain healthy BMI and achieve cardiovascular/aerobic exercise that is good for your heart.

Join us for Coast to Coast 36 KM Trail Walk! (Hikers Registration)

* This is for hikers registration. As more group leaders volunteer to lead a group of 5, more slots will be available *

Join us for Coast to Coast 36KM Trail Walk from Jurong Lake Gardens to Coney Island.

Actual distance about 38 KM to 40 KM so it requires physical & mental endurance & determination to complete the whole C2C Trail Walk. Using the DBBW techniques may help you to breathe and walk efficiently to complete your challenge.

All hikers will be organized into group of 5. Please provide your mobile number for training and communication on actual day.

Date: 27 February (Sat)
Start time: 7.45 am
End time: 7 p.m. (Estimated)
Start Point: Chinese Gardens MRT staircase facing Chinese Gardens.

Remember to drink 500ml of water with some salts the night before the walk.

Drink another 500ml of water first thing in the morning on actual day of walk.

Things to bring:
1. Minimum 2 litre of water
2. Poncho or umbrella
3. Sunblock lotion
4. Cap or sun hat
5. Light snacks
6. Money for lunch & dinner
7. MRT card or taxi fare back home
8. Phone & Power bank
9. Hands sanitizer
10. Breathable Face Mask
11. Muscle rub
12. Blisters plasters

* This is for Group Leaders registration. If you have hike 20KM before in the last 3 months, you may volunteer so more hikers can participate in this event. *

* It is compulsory for group leaders to attend familiarization trainings to know the routes from check point 1 to 9 over two Saturdays. Your hikers in your group will be counting on you to lead them on actual day. Please sign up as hikers if you can't commit to the trainings. If you have done C2C before, you don't have to attend familiarization training *

Southern RIR - From TP MRT to Johor Straits Lighthouse (Est 38KM)

Tanjong Pagar MRT Control Station

The Round Island Route (RIR) is a continuous 150 km park connector that goes around Singapore. This event covers most of the southern part of the RIR from Tanjong Pagar MRT to Johor Straits Lighthouse to watch the sun set at Raffles Marina if you can reach there around 6 p.m.

Date: 6 March (Sat)
Time to meet: 7 a.m. for temperate taking and attendance
Finish time: 6.30 p.m.
Distance: Estimated 38KM
Meeting Place: Exit near Tanjong Pagar MRT control station

In order to reach Raffles Marina to watch the sun set, you need to able to brisk walk every 10KM in 2 hours 15 mins. Please train first before you sign up for this event. There is no training provided for this event.

Please bring along minimum 1 litre of water in your back pack. Be prepared for raining day with your umbrella, poncho, foot powder and extra pair of socks.

Social distancing measures will be required like temperature taking and contact tracking.

You will be organized into group of 8. Please maintain social distancing of 1 metre within your group and 5 metres with other groups. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated and to keep everyone safe.

This is considered a challenging event so please answer the "own risk" question. Hikers who don't agree, can't participate in this event.
