Okay, I couldn't resist the provocative title. But the point remains - Is human sexuality a series of discrete settings (hetero, homo, TG, bi) or is it a sliding scale that can vary from absolute-homosexual to hyper-heterosexual? Are you familiar with The Kinsey Scale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_scale)? Or The Klein Scale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klein_Sexual_Orientation_Grid)? Read this article (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/assault/context/defining.html) from PBS Frontline for more information on these, and more.
Have you ever pondered your own sexuality, and does that make you uncomfortable? I have - even though it does make me squirm a bit - and this article (http://www.latimes.com/news/custom/topofthetimes/features/la-hm-0105-affairs-20130105,0,785114.story) made me re-examine those feelings. Then it dawned on me - with Valentine's Day soon upon us, this would be a fantastic (or fabulous?) topic for the Deep Thinkers.
And there's a bonus! The author of the article, Jerome Cleary (http://www.youtube.com/user/JeromeCleary/featured/), has agreed to join us and add his own perspective. As always, friends and guests are welcome, and the kind folks at IHOP have reserved one of their private rooms for us. All they ask is that we each order some food.
Hope you can make it for what will surely be a rousing and unpredictable discussion!
