What we're about

The mission of our club is to provide a fun, supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop better oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth. By giving speeches, and by learning from feedback, we become better speakers. Whether you're an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or a retiree, our meetings will help you express yourself better in a variety of situations.

Features:

• Learn to improve your speaking in a variety of formats (e.g., inspirational, humorous, impromptu, etc.)

• Receive positive, supportive feedback

• Learn to lead teams

• Learn to receive advice from mentors, and to serve as a mentor for others

You will need to request a guest seat for each Zoom meeting you'd like to attend. Once your guest seat is confirmed you'll receive a follow-up email with the Zoom link and log-in information on the day of the meeting. I hope to see you at the next Delco Toastmasters Zoom Meeting, Susan VP-Membership - Delaware County Toastmasters 3204. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At Toastmasters, we believe that success in life is closely tied to how well we speak, and how dynamically we present ourselves, whether at work, school, or other social settings. If you are interested in improving your own public speaking and leadership skills or helping others improve theirs, we’d love to have you visit or join our group! We typically have 20-30 members and guests at our bi-weekly meetings. We practice both impromptu and prepared speeches, and we eagerly give and receive courteous feedback. We also develop our skills in planning, coordinating, and running well-organized meetings. We do all this in a positive, supportive and fun environment. Guests are welcome no matter what their skill or confidence level. Guests will be asked what brought them to the meeting and, at the close, what they thought. Guests may also participate (speak) in Table Topics, or not, based on their personal preference. More information can be found at our website: https://3204.toastmastersclubs.org/directions.html
