Early Winter Walk at Bordentown Bluffs

Below is a program sponsored by the Friends of the Marsh, co hosted by the NJ State Park. It is a beautiful spot with vistas. I plan on attending, hope to see you there.

Steph Fox

Guide: Pat Coleman, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist.  The focus will be trees.  The Bluffs, part of  D&R Canal State Park, were once owned by Joseph Bonaparte, Napoleon’s brother. There are: views of Crosswicks Creek; mountain laurel and rhododendron; and stately trees.  Part of the trail is hilly.  Meet at end of Stanton Ave., Bordentown Twp. (Take US-206 south of I-195; take 1st right after Pointe Breeze apartments.  Look for Abbott Marshlands logo; street sign is missing).  Contact/ info:[masked]-8310.  Sponsors with Friends:  D&R Canal State Park, Bordentown Township Environmental Commission, and Friends for the Abbott Marshlands.

I apologize for the late notice, but I am not feeling well this morning and don't want to ruin anyone's hike. Please enjoy!

Two questions please: First how long is the walk? Second, are leashed dogs allowed to come? Thank you

Depending on the route the leader decides to take the walk should be about 2 miles round trip. I am not sure about the dogs, I would suggest you call the number under the description to see if they would allow dogs. Hope to see you.

Thank you. I did check and she said it was ok, so I'm planning to come as long as weather is pleasant. Hope to see you. E
