DAFE is a group for people who love DENVER art, theater, films, music, and food!
We look for a variety of events, exhibits, plays, shows, and concerts, from unique to classic. Together we catch a movie, see some gorgeous art, experience terrific theatre, and try an eclectic mix of restaurants. This is a group for people who want to enjoy new friends and engaging conversation with kindred spirits.
DAFEs are whimsical, inquisitive, and welcoming. To facilitate friendship, conversation, and camaraderie, we tend to limit events to 4-12 people. We welcome "newbies"! Please join with the EXPECTATION that you will participate. Come on out, don't be shy! We're the group you've been looking for!!!
THE FINE PRINT:
• All members MUST display a photo of themselves to be accepted. (It helps us recognize each other at events.
• We expect people to be respectful and bring a positive energy! NO bad or disrespectful behavior will be tolerated.
• We may charge a $2 to $5 fee for events as an attendee commitment to respect businesses that hold reservations for us. The money is utilized to supplement group Meetup fees.
• Please respect fellow DAFEs and DON'T make "placeholder" RSVPs. We ask that you absolutely plan to attend when you RSVP YES. First time members who are NO SHOWS are subject to removal. Same for members who have two or more SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS or NO SHOWS. We know things happen but please be considerate of the hard work and effort put into creating, planning and hosting events.
Safer-at-home! Are you looking for something to binge that's "under the radar"? Do you have a recommendation for a binge or movie to stream that other's may have missed?
Do you know about these free steaming services (some have commercials)?
(Hoopla: sign up for an Englewood library card, even if you don't live in Englewood, Kanopy: Denver library card)
Please don't recommend the popular shows we all know about "Game of Thrones", The Crown", "House of Cards", etc.

MAKE A RECOMMENDATION: Name of the show or movie, a 5 to 15 word description, a comparison to another show, where to stream.
