Sat. Morn. Group Ride Lookout Mtn. & Beyond?

Wheels Down at 8:45AM Park on the north side of the office building in which we are located.  Or, park in the Coors Wellness Center lot across the street or on street parking.

Drop bar road bikes are a must for this ride.

Just to note:  I classify rider ability on the following scale- Beginner, Recreational, Sport, Intermediate, Advanced, Competitor.  If you have drop bars on your road bike and you have done a Metric Century you are an Intermediate Level Rider.

Don't let any of this dissuade you from joining us.  We will remain together as a group and ALL of our outings will be qualified as NO DROP RIDES.  If faster riders want to go on ahead, that is fine.

Let's work on all the aspects of improving your ascending technique, skills, power and aptitude.

This has been mentioned as a format and topic that many riders are interested in gaining knowledge and first hand observation and analysis from rider's who excel at this aspect of cycling.

We will have two ride leaders who have all the relevant experience and success and are, in fact climbing specialists in terms of their rider type and physiology.

Myself and Matt will be available for on bike and side by side riding demonstration of technique, verbal cues and questions.

We will all go up Lookout at our own or collective pace and if so desired any of you who wish to continue beyond may do so to extend your ride time.  Some may elect to descend and return to downtown Golden.

The point of the ride is to have fun, first and foremost.  We all stand to learn from other riders; both in conversation-sharing ideas and observing others' riding styles and just to put miles in.  In a group setting we can often be challenged at a greater level than we would be riding on our own.  I am always available after or during the ride to bring up specific topics on questions or ideas you may have with regard to your own rider ambitions and goals.

There's a lot of knowledge and experience here in the shop and a lot of technique advantage out there on the road.  And, for any of you who know me, if you catch me in the right setting out on the road I am super happy to talk about and share my ideas on how to become a better cyclist.

This ride repeats evry Saturday morning.

Thanks, Jerry - Hope you can join us on Saturday morning.

Started at the pillars hoping to catch up, worked so much harder when I saw a guy from Big Ring passed me (Matt), and only to have him tell me at the top that I was the first one up. Doh! I took advantage of the husband watching the lil guy and rode ahead to get in more mileage. Sorry I missed you guys. Hopefully next time!
