Cooking for a Cause: Breakfast with the Kids at the Tennyson Center

  • This is for volunteers 18 and older only.

      Details:

      The Tennyson Center has asked us to cook breakfast for their kids. The group will meet there at 9:00am to set up; the kids will arrive at 9:30am. 

      Please indicate in your RSVP what item you would bring to make sure we have enough and a good variety of food. All items must be cooked: we can heat food there but cannot cook it there. If you dish needs cutting ,please do that at home. We should plan for about 35 kids and 10-15 staff. 

      This is for volunteers 18 and older only.

      Suggestions for what to bring: (we have been asked to avoid sugary foods like donuts etc.)

      - scrambled eggs; Barb

      - egg and other breakfast casseroles (Maria and we need other volunteers): mary

      - sausage, bacon

      - potato dishes (hash browns etc): Pat

      - breakfast burritos (Renee if attending):

      - pigs in a blanket (CJ if attending): Jeanne

      - home made waffles

      - home made cinnamon rolls

      - fruit: Christina

      - apple juice or punch (red): 

      - biscuits and gravy

      - monkey bread

      - breakfast pizza: 

      - beans

      - blueberry French Toast (Carol if attending)

      - macaroni and cheese:

      - yogurt

      - small cinnamon rolls
