Today Renna will be sharing some basics about Shamanism and shamanic approaches to healing - some history, origins, and definitions, including where Animism meets Shamanism; the power of building a strong and interactive alliances with our spirit-plane allies; and what the shamanic healing techniques can involve and what kind of things these techniques are helpful with. There will be a period with live drumming to get a taste of the trance-state known as shamanic journeying, and plenty of time for Q & A. Shamanism is a wonderfully rich spiritual path, whether used as one’s main focus, or braided into other practices.
Bio: Drawing on three decades of training and experience, Renna Shesso has been a shamanic healing practitioner and teacher since the early 1990s. She’s also a professional tarot reader, priestess of the Craft, and writer. She began exploring magical knowledge-paths as a young adult, learning astrology from her grandmother, and has expended her interests exponentially in the years since then. In addition to her own self-published zines on magical workings, Renna is the author of Planets for Pagans and Math for Mystics (both published by Weiser Books). While privileged to study with many fine teachers, she turns to Nature Herself as the ultimate mentor and healer. Learn more about Renna and her work at www.RennaShesso.com
