D&D 4e game

Looking to get a 4e game together. We have a DM and one player. We're looking to get an episodic game together.

It'll be a custom campaign with more details to be determined based on player and DM collaboration.

The only thing we have determined is 4e, 3:30pm, at TEG everything else is up for discussion.

18 and older please

I'm getting more and more excited for this by the day! I love the fact that we're taking the existing setting (Forgotton Realms sort of) and flipping it on it's head.

I'm stoked too, glad we got enough people to startup the group :) cant wait to see what we come up with for a setting and story. Yall should bring some ideas with ya so we're not stumbling over ideas today. See you all at 3:30pm

I'm excited to get this game going. I've got an idea for a character or two.

I will be there Monday (barring a work emergency) and look forward to meeting everyone! I'll bring the whopping 3 4e books I own, just in case, as well as my character folder (loaded with level 6's from last session of Lair Assault). See you then!

Sounds very cool. I've had a lot of fun playing 5th-9th level and still enjoyed lower level games. Never played anything higher except a few dungeon delves and it was hard to pickup a 20 something character and play well with so many new options. I certainly hope to meet you all next Monday!

Correct with the weekly game with long term goals. No decision on the starting level, and its hard to have an end goal when we dont even have our starting spot yet. These are elements in which we would discuss once we have our group together and I would customize the story to the players, however.. that being said, I favor higher level starts and its been requested that there be a memorable goal and story to the challenges presented.

I'm very interested in this but need to run it by the boss (my wife of course). Is this likely to be a weekly game running long term? Starting 1st level or higher? Do you have an end goal in mind or just get started and see where it takes us? Regarding new players to 4e, I was in that position a couple years ago and just stuck with my roleplaying roots (doing what I felt was in character) and let others help me with the system, and it was tons of fun. Not too hard to figure out.

@Todd, I didn't set an end time for the first game. not sure if you wanted to do a character creation/meet and great session or what.

@Jeff I think Todd is pretty set on a 3:30 start time, sorry.

I believe Robert scheduled our first game for roughly 3 hours. I believe the concensus is we're happy to welcome anyone with roleplaying experience, regardless on if they've played 4e or not, so you're more than welcome to join us if you can make it.

This is going to be an awesome ongoing game so if you're sitting on the fence between signing up and not, I highly recommend you attending.
