  • Sell Your Screenplay - Free Live Masterclass - Tonight on Zoom!

    Zoom Video Communications

From Curt Donahue of: Denver Media Professionals This email is for anyone who has a screenplay and is looking to sell it. Or, possibly, you're in the process of writing a script and are thinking ahead to how your going to sell it (very smart, btw!). My friend Diane Bell is putting on a free live training tomorrow night (Monday July 15th starting at 7:00 PM MST) to discuss her approach to selling screenplay. Here's the link to the sign-up page for the free training: https://www.dianebell.com/sell-your-screenplay-free-live-masterclass. Before I tell you a little bit about Diane, I want to give you a heads-up if you're interested in attending. At the time of this email, there are 782 registrants and our webinar plan only allows for 100 attendees. So, if you want to attend live and ask questions, I'd get there plenty early. There will be a replay for those that register and are not able to attend. Diane has had an interesting career. She's from Edinburgh Scotland and lived for a while in Barcelona Spain where she worked as a yoga instructor. While that may sound pretty exotic, the reality is that she had zero Hollywood contacts when she started her journey to become a screenwriter. While in Barcelona, Diane worked on a screenplay that involved Mickey Rourke. She believed in that screenplay with her whole heart, so she decided to take a drive to Cannes to meet Mickey to personally sell him on a screenplay. While she didn't meet Mickey at Cannes, she did make connections that ultimately led her to having lunch with him in Los Angeles three months later. Suffice it to say, Diane moved to LA and created a career for herself as a screenwriter. While she was at it, she make two smaller independent films and was part of the team on a larger film ($5 million) with Jessica Biel. Today, Diane lives in Denver and, while still making movies of her own, is working hard to teach people how to write and sell screenplays. Diane's approach is not a studio approach. It's a independent, gritty, get-it-done kind of approach. It's her actual life experiences, not theory. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I think many of you will appreciate her hard earned wisdom and practical approach. If you'd like to learn more about Diane, check out her training tomorrow night. This page describes the free training in a bit more detail: https://www.dianebell.com/sell-your-screenplay-free-live-masterclass. I hope to see you there! Curt Donohue Founder of the Denver Media Professionals --- Hi, I'm Diane Bell and I'm a Sundance award winning screenwriter and director who is obsessed with sharing information and inspiration to help screenwriters and filmmakers thrive. I wrote my first screenplay while living in Barcelona working as yoga teacher. I had ZERO connections in the American film industry, but within a year, I sold it to a top producer in LA. That sale kickstarted my career and since then I've been paid to write over a dozen screenplays (including two with the legendary John McTiernan, director of DIE HARD and THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER). If you're ready to create an actionable plan for selling your screenplay and empower yourself with the knowledge you need to breakthrough, you're in the right place. Join me in the training and let's get your screenplay sold!
