Our next meetup will be on Tuesday, March 4th in the Denver Post building in the office of MediaNews Group, Interactive 101 West Colfax Ave Suite 900 Denver CO 80202. When you walk into the Denver Post building, you must walk through the main lobby and tell security that you are attending the Selenium meetup at MediaNews Group, interactive office on the 9th floor. Please make sure you RSVP on the meetup.com site so I can give your name to security so they know you are coming up, they would check your name and escort you to the elevator. I will be giving Security a list of names based on the RSVP's I find on our meetup.com site.
If more than 30 people rsvp, I may move this to a bigger conference room in the Denver Post building. If I do I'll send out an update a day or two prior to the meeting with updated directions.
Please include your full name in your meetup bio as well. This will ensure you pass through Denver Post security without any hassles. Otherwise you may have to call my cell if you are detained by security downstairs.
Once you get out of the elevator head south, look for the break area and walk straight into MediaNews Group office. I will post signs along to way. You will want to find the Executive conference room. Once you enter the MediaNews group office walk up to the pictures in front of you and then head left and walk past the cubicles. The Executive conference room is just to the left of the cubicles but not past the double glass doors, there will be a couple 'Selenium Meetup' signs to steer you in the right direction. If you get lost of have problems with security, call my cell at[masked]-9175.
For this meetup we will write more WebDriver tests using Java and/or C# code. If you have a laptop with the Selenium test environment set up and working (Selenium | Java/C# | IDE) please bring it in. If not don't worry and we can write the tests on the presenters PC and show on the projector. Dave Whalen is planning on demonstrating how to use assertions.
I am looking into expanding the scope of this meetup as well. I still wish to have the main focus on Selenium. But, some members have expressed an interest in discussing other testing tools besides Selenium. Please let me know if you are interested in this or not.
Plus, I am also looking into creating a web ex for the meetup. This would be done using either using a google hangout or web ex software. So, if you can't make the meetup in person you can fall back on the web ex and still be included.
We are planning on having meetups the 1st Tuesday of each month. Looking forward to seeing you all at the next one. Please spread the word about this meetup, let anyone who you think may be interested know.
Post on our meetup page if you have any questions. Or email me at [masked] cell is[masked]-9175.
See you! Seth Barda
