Update as of 12/14/16: The forecast is calling for single digit temps on the evening of this event. We were prepared to cancel it, but decided to give you an opportunity to attend regardless. If there is not enough interest by Saturday, December 17th at 7pm, the event will be cancelled. The event will be cancelled if there are less than 6 RSVP's (including James)

5:45PM.... Arrive at Botanic Gardens **IF you did not purchase tickets online**. To purchase tickets online (for December 18th), go to http://catalog.botanicgardens.org/DateSelection.aspx?item=2344

Be sure to allow ample time to find parking (at least 20-25 minutes). There is a parking garage across the street from the Visitor's Center.

6:00pm (no later than).... Arrive at The Botanic Gardens to find parking. This can take awhile sometimes, so we will allow 45 minutes to do this. before meeting at

6:45pm.... Meet at Denver Botanic Gardens Offshoots at the Gardens Café, located inside the Boettcher Memorial Center, after going through admissions (Click Here for Cafe Info & Location) to obtain your hot drinks and await attendees coming from Tears McFarlane House.

7pm... We will head out to the Gardens

BE PREPARED FOR COLD TEMPS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS°! (There are huts located throughout the gardens serving hot chocolate)

Admission pricing for December 18th is:

Non Member Adult.... $13.00

Non Member Senior (ages 65+).... $11.00

Non Member Child (ages 3-15).... $10.00

Non Member Child 2 and under.... $0.00

What equipment will you need?

Well, for starters you'll need your camera, beyond that, the rest is up to you. Below is a list of recommended items.

Can I bring a friend?
Sure, the more the merrier.

Do I need a special camera? ie. DSLR?
No. Many have brought point-n-shoot cameras and have had great success.

Do I need a tripod?
Although a tripod is recommended for sharp images during a long exposure, you can get some neat results by blurring your photos (on purpose).

What if I have never shot at night before?

Veteran night shooters will be there to answer any questions you might have. We're a sharing bunch and are happy to help out.

How much do you charge for this outing?
As usual, these outings are free. Contributions are accepted but not necessary. This is an opportunity to meet other photographers and share in your passion for photography. We're doin' it just for fun.
