- We are the ones we've been waiting for: Talking advocacy in 2019
Bigsby's Folly Craft Winery & Restaurant
It would be hard to miss the sudden explosion of activity around insulin pricing and access in 2019. JDRF and ADA are hard at work; bills are being developed and measured at the State and Federal levels, and the Big 3 (Eli Lilly, Sanofi and Novo Nordisk) are facing lawsuits for collusion on insulin pricing. 2019 is our year! Ok... this is all well and good, but what can we personally do about it? Please join us for a drink and informal discussion with Denver-based Christine Fallabel (Director, American Diabetes Association State Government Affairs and Advocacy), AJ McCulloch (Territory Operations Manager, American Diabetes Association Youth and Family Initiatives), and State Reps Dylan Roberts and Lisa Cutter on these topics and likely much more.

- Movie screening: Bike Beyond, a film by Beyond Type 1
Please join us for a super special event! We're joining Denver DiabetesSisters to watch Bike Beyond, a film recently produced by Beyond Type 1. This film chronicles the journey of 20 Type 1s as they bike across the country to raise awareness about the disease. It's relatable and inspiring and we're excited to share it with the Denver community! (more info and trailer at: https://beyondtype1.org/bike-beyond/). TVL Creative has kindly offered to host this event and sponsor some nice beverages! We'll also have popcorn and snacks; feel free to bring some low-carb munchies to share with the group if you'd like. The movie will start promptly at 3:30pm and is about 90 minutes. We will stick around to chat about it until 6pm and if folks want to continue talking past 6pm, we will relocate to a nearby restaurant or bar so they can close the office for the evening.
