Are you seeking to learn more about tarot through receiving readings or do you also want to learn to read for yourself and others?

I look for a combination of observational and experiential learning.

Tell us a bit about your most vivid tarot experience / memory.

Too numerous to mention at this point. As a collective experience, I've seen it hit the mark often enough that I no longer *believe* it works...I *know* it works.

What impact do you feel tarot readings have on you and others?

It can have the effect of mutual healing for the reader and the querent, in that profound yet fleeting moment when both are fully engaged in the moment. I have often described readings to my clients as 'dreams that happen on a table', with the benefit of having an interpreter on hand.

What should our group know about your tarot background / experience?

I have been a student and a teacher, amateur and professional, serious and flippant, dedicated and nonchalant. It largely depends on my mood at the time.

Since 1994, I've progressed from neophyte to adept, passed into (and out of) the collector phase, and have now settled on one deck (Thoth) and one spread (Opening of the Key). My reading approach is 'esotuitive' - equal parts esoteric and intuitive.

What John Michael A. is saying about this Meetup Group

Hats off to Scott (and Mr. E) for putting together a wonderfully ecclectic group that delves into fresh facets of the Tarot every time. Everyone brings a valuable perspective and my confidence in reading almost always gets taken up a few notches.
