Practice Meditation

 

Meditation is the means which we use to clear our minds and become more aware of the universe and our role in it.

All those interested in mindfulness and the practice of meditation are invited to join us. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice through meditation.

Program:

A basic Vipassanā /sitting and silent (non-guided) meditation for 20-30 minutes, followed by 5 to 8 minutes of walking meditation (deliberate walking around in a circle feeling connection to the earth) followed by reading and discussion for 20 to 30 minutes. We are on our third discussion book:  The Places that Scare You, By Pema Chodron.

 

Whether you are new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner this session offers each of us the ability to practice meditation with others and share our experiences.

 

For newcomers to meditation, we will offer a brief instruction on sitting meditation and getting comfortable. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can get to know you.
