I will wait until the 1st of March to register.
Deadline to register is March 16th!
When you register, you will asked to choose a "Category".
Your choices will be:
Competitive or Recreational
Women or Men
Solo or Tandem
Canoe or Kayak
I will be Recreational - Men - Solo - Canoe
They will start the Competitive classes first.
So if you want to paddle as a group, and not concerned about your "racing" time
then choose "Recreational". The remainder will be based upon you and your boat.
Here is your to bring list:
Kayak (or Canoe) and Paddle
Water - snacks (this event will take up most of the day)
Dry bag or other waterproof bag for keys, snacks, and stuff you don't want to get wet
3 sets of clothes - one to wear - one in a waterproof bag to bring on the float - one to keep in your car for a dry ride home.
The Challenge organizers provide a shuttle starting at 7:30 AM.
It has been my experience that it is best to arrive around that time.
It will get crowded and busy with 200 paddlers in a small area.
If you would like to carpool or caravan to the White Bridge, I can meet you
near Metrocenter off of I-17 at Peoria Ave. I will be leaving at 5:30 AM
Please email me directly if you would like to meet me there.
